Do I need a license to rent a boat?+
It depends on the boat. Some boats require a valid boating license, while others (especially smaller boats or those with a skipper) don't. Each listing clearly states the requirements.
How does payment work?+
You pay online when you book. Your payment is held securely by Stripe and only released to the boat owner after the trip starts. If the owner cancels, you get a full refund.
Can I cancel my booking?+
Yes, each listing has a clear cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate, Strict, or Non-Refundable). The refund amount depends on the policy and how far in advance you cancel. Service fees are non-refundable.
Is fuel included in the price?+
Each listing clearly states whether fuel is included or paid separately. Look for the fuel badge on boat cards and listing pages.
What if the weather is bad?+
If weather conditions make the trip unsafe, most hosts will offer to reschedule or provide a full refund. Contact your host directly through our messaging system.
How much does it cost to list my boat?+
Listing is completely free. We only charge a service fee on completed bookings. There are no monthly subscriptions or hidden costs.
What about insurance?+
We require all boat owners to have valid insurance for charters. As a renter, you're covered by the owner's insurance policy. We recommend all parties check their coverage before the trip.
How do I get paid as a boat owner?+
Payouts are processed automatically via Stripe after each completed trip. You can track all your earnings in your dashboard.
